Fixed price up front
Every vehicle class is priced before you commit. The figure you accept is the figure you pay — there is no meter in the car.
Book in advance for the airport
For Bristol Airport we recommend booking ahead. It is by far our busiest route, especially for the early-morning departure wave.
Payment
Cash to the driver, all major credit and debit cards, PayPal or mobile payment. Business accounts are invoiced monthly.
Need help?
Call 0117 287 0247 or 07856 939 691 at any hour, or email info@bristoltaxi.co.uk. Group and account bookings are often quicker by phone.
Before you book, tell us this
These six things are the difference between a booking that runs itself and one that needs three phone calls on the day.
- The pick-up address with a postcode, and the exact destination — terminal, college, hospital department or cruise terminal where that applies
- Your flight or train number for a transfer, so we track the arrival rather than the clock
- Passengers and large suitcases counted separately — the luggage is what decides the vehicle
- Any child seat, with the child's age and seat type in the notes (£15 per seat)
- Anything awkward you are carrying: skis, a bike, golf clubs, a pushchair, an instrument
- A mobile number the driver can actually reach on the day
Questions about booking
The full list is on our FAQ page, and the commercial detail is in our terms and cancellation policy.
How far in advance should I book?
For a local journey, an hour is usually plenty and we can often do better than that. For Bristol Airport, book the day before as a minimum — the early-morning departure wave is our busiest period. For a minibus, a 15-seater, a wedding or anything during school holidays or a major event weekend, book as far ahead as you can: the larger vehicles are spoken for first.
What are your working hours?
We dispatch 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year — including Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. A 03:00 airport pick-up is an ordinary booking for us rather than a favour, and it is quoted as a fixed price before you travel like any other journey.
Is the price fixed, or is it a meter?
Fixed. You are quoted a single figure before you book, based on the pick-up point, the destination and the vehicle you choose, and that is what you pay. Traffic, a longer route because of a closure, or a driver stuck on the M5 do not change your fare.
What are the payment options?
Cash to the driver at the end of the journey, all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and mobile payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Business account customers are invoiced monthly. If you are booking on someone else's behalf you can pay in advance so they travel without touching their wallet.
