School & College Runs
A school run only works if it is the same every day: the same time, the same car, and ideally the same driver, who knows which gate to use and what your child looks like. We set these up as standing bookings for the term rather than as a fresh job each morning.
Consistency is the service
We hold your journeys as a term-long standing booking, dispatched to the same driver as far as the rota allows. If that driver is ever unavailable we tell you in advance who is coming instead, rather than sending a stranger and hoping.
Child seats and the law
Child seats are not legally required in a licensed taxi, but on a daily school run they obviously are the right thing. We supply and fit them at £15 per seat, and on a standing booking that is agreed once and built into the arrangement. Give us the age and size when the booking is set up — a driver cannot produce a car seat on the doorstep.
Drivers and vetting
Every driver holds a current private hire licence, which requires an enhanced DBS check, a medical and a driving assessment. Every journey is logged in the office against a named driver and vehicle.
Colleges, universities and clubs
The same arrangement covers college and sixth-form journeys, university terms, and the after-school run to a club or a training session — including collections at a time nobody else wants to cover.
