One of the longest routes we run regularly — 175 miles up the M5 and M6, about three and a quarter hours on a good day. It is a serious drive, so we send a vehicle chosen for the distance and a driver who has done it before.
Comfort is the whole point on a three-hour run
Air conditioning that works, seats that have not given up, charging for your devices and a comfort stop planned into the schedule if you want one. Vehicles on long routes are checked before they go out rather than after they come back.
Manchester Airport (MAN)
MAN is just off the M56 south of the city, so it is marginally quicker to reach than the centre. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 all served, meet and greet in arrivals on the return, and your flight tracked either way.
Groups: teams, stags, weddings
Fifteen people in one 15 Seater on one fixed fare is dramatically cheaper than fifteen train tickets and considerably less trouble than four cars. For anything larger we send multiple vehicles that travel together and arrive together.
The M6 is the variable
The M5 to Birmingham is usually predictable; the M6 past Stoke is where the time goes. Your driver watches the conditions and will take the toll road when it genuinely saves time — the cost of that is inside your quoted fare, not added to it.
