Hospital & Appointment Travel
A hospital appointment is a fixed time in a place with difficult parking, often reached by somebody who is not feeling their best. We book these journeys with extra margin, take you to the correct entrance rather than the main postcode, and arrange the collection for afterwards at the same time.
The right entrance, not the right postcode
Southmead and the BRI are large sites where the postcode drops you a long walk from the department you actually need. Tell us the department or the clinic name and the driver takes you to that door — which for someone on crutches is the whole point of booking a car.
Waiting, or coming back
Appointments overrun. You can book the driver to wait, with the waiting time priced in advance, or arrange a collection and simply call when you are finished. Either way the office holds your booking and knows to expect you.
Assistance, if you need it
Drivers will help you from the front door to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the entrance, carry a bag, and stow a folding wheelchair or a frame in the boot. Say what you need when you book so we send an appropriate vehicle and driver.
Family and regular treatment
For a course of treatment — a series of appointments over weeks — we can hold standing bookings with the same driver where possible, which makes a real difference to a patient who would rather not explain everything again each time.

Count the passengers, then count the large suitcases separately — the second number is the one that decides it.
